Sam & Abbie Foster
“You couldn’t pay me to go to Oberlin!”
“I’m so sorry!”
“My husband won’t even let me drive through Oberlin.”
Since we moved to Oberlin in 2019 to plant a church, these are things fellow Christians have said to us. Yes, we knew the reputation. Yes, we knew what we were getting into. But we believe that God loves Oberlin more than we can imagine, and feel called to participate in his work here.
For the last 6 years we have worked to build trust and relationships in a community that is very suspicious of the church, laying the groundwork for a church plant. Through a hospitality lifestyle and purposeful community engagement we have embedded ourselves in the community and seen trust grow and barriers melt.
We are now pivoting to a more official launch of our church plant. In order to reach this goal Sam needs to quit his day job and devote time to the planting effort. We are seeking financial & prayer partners for the next 3 years. Click here to learn how you can support the Fosters.
We are Christians who love Jesus and love our town. We are part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and seek to build community that is impacted by the good news of Jesus Christ, and to establish a PCA church in Oberlin, OH.
Worship services at 9:30 AM on Sundays at 139 Sycamore St, Oberlin. Contact us for more information.
